THE ROAD TO MARGARITAVILLE  - SCREEN TEST: LISSA (2009)

Shot in early December 2009, just before we started writing and shooting the film. We had the idea to shoot Lissa running throughout the screen test after Roxie deftly ran across the highway, dodging oncoming traffic with grace. We thought it would seem natural for Lissa to run great distances, even with complicated footwear, since: a) doesn’t have a car, and b) would have to keep a change of shoes in a large purse, which would ruin the allure of her jog.
